What will happen the final year of ZEM?

Zero Emission Marine has now embarked on its final year of the programme. And four years really went past fast. But what will happen now as we just entered the final year?

“Well, the consisting ecosystem projects will keep up their good work with their projects and we might even see new ones getting born in the first half of the year. In the ZEM project team, we will continue to do networking and communication efforts that ties the ecosystem together to get all of the potential synergies that we can”, says Kenneth Widell, ZEM Ecosystem Lead.

“The mission of ZEM has been to create an economically compelling zero-emission marine ecosystem driving sustainable technology solutions and services. And this is an ever-ending mission. The work will continue in the ecosystem although ZEM won´t be in the driver´s seat”, Kenneth says.

And as visible in the project timeline, many of the ZEM ecosystem projects will keep up their work even after 2025. This will also be the case for potential new ZEM projects added to the ZEM umbrella this year. As long as the projects are approved in 2025, the projects might keep up their work still long after 2025.

ZEM project review calls

New this year, is that we will give the opportunity for all ecosystem projects to present their scope, timeline and potential findings in our ZEM project review calls. These will be arranged four times during the year and in each call, 2-3 ecosystem projects will present themselves.

The first one of these sessions will be arranged on the 24 April at 14.00 – 15.00 EEST. In this session, we will hear more about Casemate, MASCOT and SilentEngine. Please, sign up for the event here.
